Stacy graduated from James B. Hunt Jr. High School in 1993. Upon completion of his High School requirements, he attended the world renowned North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University located in the beautiful city of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Deacon Edmondson grew up in the church and comes from a lineage of Deacons. His family attended New Vester Missionary Baptist Church, where Stacy began his walk with the Lord at a very early age. Deacon Edmondson is proud to follow in the beloved footsteps of his Father and Grandfather, who were also Deacons.

Deacon Edmondson’s love for the church was also demonstrated by his Grandmother, who possessed a deep love for the Lord and who was a “Mother of the Church”.

Stacy met and married his High School sweetheart in 1995, Kimberly L. Edmondson. The Edmondson’s are the proud parents of Devin (who God called home at a very tender age) who lives in his heart and mind every single day, Kacy whom he loves dearly, and Samaya the youngest, who is his pride and joy.

The love of his family can be attributed to Deacon Edmondson’s decision to give his life to Christ in an effort of accepting his appointment as Deacon in 2007. His ordination as Deacon was an expected manifestation of blessing November 11, 2011 by Pastor Kevin G. Webb.

Deacon Edmondson loves serving the Lord through the following Ministry capacities:  Audio/Video, Drama, Men’s Ministry, Sunday school teacher. He formerly served as Usher, Praise & Worship and Trustee member.

Deacon Edmondson’s favorite Bible scripture is the following:
“Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
